Yun Yang

Graduated from the London Film School. Originally from China and base in London now.

Studying Art Management as undergraduate, I worked with various production teams, gaining invaluable experience in the performance industry. I found my interest in filmmaking while working as assistant director and stage supervisor on a year-long Opera tour.

With active internal monologue, I find that film is a proper way to express myself. Driven by ambition to become a director, I went to London Film School and has taken on a variety of roles in the film industry, understanding that every element works together to bring a story to life.

Now focusing on Cinematography, work on narrative film, documentary and commercials. Including Bardo, Wind in Summer, My Friend Songzhi, The Wanderer, Xiao Zhen Wang Shi, 2104 and Wu Zhong Chun Tian.

Yun’s Directing short film FACE TO won the Best Short Film at the Colossus Film Festival, the Best Short Film at the Zepstone International Film Festival, and the Best Student Film at the MiraBan UK Film Awards.

Yun Yang worked with Oscar-winning Production Designer Tim Yip as a Cinematographer in his latest feature film Love Infinity.
